The Livingston Piecemakers Quilt Guild is located in the quaint East Texas town of Livingston, Texas, which is the county seat of Polk County.   We are near Lake Livingston and The Big Thicket.  The Guild is a 501(C)(3) organization.   The Guild meetings are the 2nd Monday of each month at Blanchard Baptist Church, 2450 FM 2457, Livingston, Texas. Membership is open to everyone. We have coffee at 9:00 and our meeting starts at 9:30 (see the meetings page for directions).  Most meetings have a "show and tell" time of the projects our members or committee members have been working on.  Also, various speakers are scheduled explaining new rulers, advanced quilting techniques, and workshops.

The purpose of our Guild is to renew, recreate and restore the art of quilting along with the camaraderie and fellowship.  The Guild also sponsors a biennial Quilt show and takes part in local festivals and events, including Home Town Christmas.  Our community service projects are many and include such things as making quilts for the SAAFE House of Livingston, quilts and bibs for nursing homes in the area, neck cooling scarves for our servicemen and pillows/bedding for the animal shelter. We also make comfort quilts for the police, fire departments and the Red Cross.

The Livingston Piecemaker's Quilt Guild is sponsored by Jean's Corner located at 712 North Jackson Street in downtown Livingston.

The members frequent many "bees" - sewing groups that meet within our areas in Polk, Trinity and San Jacinto counties. Come join us...  you will find quilting  "Just what the doctor ordered".
